- Log into your Instagram account on a desktop device (not on mobile).
- Navigate to the settings by clicking the "gear" icon on the top-right corner of the page, and select Settings and privacy from the menu that appears.
- Navigate to the Accounts Center on the left-hand side of the page, and select Password and security.
- Select Two-Factor Authentication.
- A pop-up menu will appear. Select your Instagram profile when prompted.
- When asked to choose your security method, select Authentication App, then click Next.
- A QR Code will load. Take a screenshot of the QR code and save it to your device.
- Send the QR code file to your Marketing Success Manager. Do not exit out of this window.
- Once your success manager has successfully incorporated this into our system, they will provide you with a TOTP code to add back into Instagram. Click Next on the window.
- Enter the code here and hit Next.
- Click Done.
- You can go back into the authentication app settings and you will now see a device added. Click the vertical ellipses (three dots) and rename it to "Marketing360".
- Once that is saved, go back into the authentication app and click Add next to Connected devices.
This is an important step so that you are still able to login to your Instagram account with a 2fa code that is available to you. Follow instructions provided to you for set up on your own authenticator app: - Repeat the steps above to rename this device so you recognize it, such as "My Cell Phone"
